Join Us by giving towards the trip.  We need $1800

Prayer Request

  1.  Pray that God will provide the finances.

  2.  Pray for discernment for every encounter and meeting.·

  3.  Pray for reliance on the Holy Spirit as we will deal with the complexities of cultural differences and deep needs that we will encounter.

  4.  Pray for fruitful opportunities to enhance these ongoing relationships and that our time will again be fruitful in fulfilling our mission.

Trip Details:

  • Les Enfants de Dieu (home  for 115 street boys, providing shelter, holistic care and education)-assisting to conduct a one day staff retreat devoted to self-care and teambuilding after a year of challenges  and changes as an organization

  • EDD Jumpstart (the alumni group for boys who have reintegrated from Les Enfants de Dieu)-meeting with alumni

  • Duhope (an organization providing emotional support and income-generating activities for women coming out of prostitution)-meeting with staff for ongoing support (I have been consulting with them for the last 2 years, assisting them with training and policy creation to become a trauma-informed organization.)

  • Rwanda Association of Christian Counselors (meeting, topic: TBD)

  • Bible Society of Rwanda (meeting with the trained facilitators of their trauma healing program for support and consultation)

  • Elite Rwanda Basketball Academy (attending basketball tournaments for a ministry devoted to empowering boys through the game of basketball)

  • Rhema Ministries (a new connection with a ministry devoted to helping women who are single mothers, in prostitution, impacted by various forms of violence) 2 days devoted to listening and learning about this ministry, the needs of women in this region, the vision for their ministry, and discussing the possibility of a future multi-disciplinary conference on human trafficking. I am very excited about this new connection and the possibilities for the future to not only help women who are coming out of prostitution and trafficking, but to impact the cultural perception and attitudes towards them
