About The Event

Trauma knows no boundaries of nationality, gender, age, education level, social class, or race. The love and healing power of God also knows no boundaries. The people of God are uniquely called to provide safe, healing spaces for conversations about how God moves toward those who suffer; how even the hardest-hit communities can heal and be bound together by love; how to access a God who hears the cries of the oppressed; and about a Savior who intimately knows unjust suffering and whose death on the cross holds the power to break cycles of trauma passed down for generations.

In America, many people have also experienced generational trauma due to our history of slavery and its repercussions. For the people and the country to recover, both black and white people need to heal from this trauma.

This awareness session takes place Saturday, Jan. 15th, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.
